Textbook: A First Course in Complex Analysis with Applications (2nd Edition), by Dennis Zill and Patrick Shanahan.

Course Description:This course is an introduction to the theory of functions of a complex variable with some applications.

Topics:complex numbers and the complex plane, complex functions and mappings, analytic functions, Cauchy-Riemann equations, Harmonic functions,elementary functions of a complex variable, integration in the complex plane, Cauchy-Goursat theorem, conformal mappings, Cauchy's Integral formulas, Taylor and Laurent series,zeros and poles, residue theory.

Grading: Grades will be based on course work(50%) and the final exam(50%).
